Housing Minister Dr Jitendra Awhad said, ” Mhada transit camps, hot bed of corruption, rehabilitation not of needy poor”
He further informed that. “The infiltration and trespassing of MHADA transit camps is a matter of great shame. No one is coming into anyone’s house. Houses are looted in the manner of ‘Jiski Lathi Uski Bhais’. I say, the rent collector, the MHADA officials and the police officers are all involved in this case.”
How can a poor man live? Something has to be done about it. He who has the right to a house should get the same house. Any intruder should be taken out of the house, caught in a legal quandary and imprisoned.
This is the story in Bandra West, Dharavi and all other places. There is a specialized mafia operating with the help of MHADA officials, Local Gangsters and Police. This has to stop and the original deserving resident should get the right accommodation.
