Woman turned emotional on PM Modi’s arrival in UK – saying ‘Modi is her living god’:
PM Modi met the emotional woman who called him her living god.
Upon his arrival in London, PM Modi focused on strengthening India-UK ties with a newly signed Free Trade Agreement, enhancing trade, investment, and people-to-people connections.
While interacting with the media, the woman said, that he is her living God and that she feeld blessed to have his ‘darshan’. She thanked the people of India for reposing faith in him and having re-elected him.
After the finalisation of the trade deal, PM Modi announced that India and the UK have entered a new phase of economic partnership with the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the Double Contribution Convention amidst his meeting with UK
PM Meir Starmer.
PM Modi said that the day 24 July, will be etched as an historic day in India-UK relations. He showcased that the agreement has the potential to boost trade and investment amid the two countries.
PM Modi further went on to elaborate that
together, they are laying the foundation stone of a new history, and that they are meeting for the third time this year. He considered this very significant.
Notedly, the UK and India are natural partners. 24 July 2024 marks a historic day in relations between the two countries. This will pave a very strong path for the future generations of India and the UK. This adds a new chapter in business and trade.
While in London,
PM Modi took the opportunity to meet King Charles at Sandringham House.
Taking to his social media platform X,
on the social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, “The talks with PM Keir Starmer were outstanding, particularly in the wake of the successful signing of the comprehensive economic and trade greement. In llɓ this agreement sets the stage for boosting shared prosperity.”
He further went on to mention that exquisite Indian textile products, footwear, gems and jewellery and engineering goods will gain market access to the UK.
The opportunities for agricultural products and processed foods will also get an impetus. All of this will benefit our people, especially farmers, women, youngsters, fishermen and MSMEs.
The Agreement will boost ‘Ease of Doing Business’, reduce ‘Cost of Doing Business’ and enhance ‘Confidence of Doing Business’. Investment linkages are all set to get more vigour.”
PM Modi also said that ‘cricket is not a game but a great metaphor for India-UK ties. He announced the launch of Vision 2035, a plan to strengthen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership across defence, education, semiconductors, sustainable development, and people-to-people connections.
In his concluding address he said thsy⁴It’s equally gladdening to have released Vision 2035 to deepen comprehensive strategic partnership.
Notedly this will focus on sectors like defence, education, people-to-people ties, semiconductors and sustainable development.
He also extended his thanks to the UK PM’s condemnation of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
He wrote that gratitude to PM Keir Starmer for the strong condemnation of the Pahalgam terror attack. We also agree that extremist ideologies must not be allowed to misuse democratic freedoms. Those who misuse democratic freedoms to undermine democracy itself must be held to account.
