The Government of Maharashtra has introduced a flexible timing scheme for women employees in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). This initiative facilitates women staff in government offices to report early and leave 30 minutes before the standard, official time, helping them avoid peak-hour commuter rush and enhancing work-life balance. 

This scheme is initiated to improve safety, reduce commuting stress, and facilitate a better work-life balance for women, especially for those with childcare responsibilities.
Women can arrive early and correspondingly leave early, as long as they complete their mandatory working hours.
