Supriya Sule backs Chhagan Bhujbal’s Delhi move

Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) working president Supriya Sule stated that Maharashtra minister Chhagan Bhujbal’s leadership should not be confined to the state. She remarked that the country would have benefited from his parliamentary skills and experience had he been nominated to the Rajya Sabha.

Speaking in New Delhi, Sule expressed that if the veteran OBC leader wishes to move to national politics, there is nothing wrong with that. She highlighted that Bhujbal’s way of speaking in Parliament, his speeches, and his ideas are impressive, and that regular activity in Delhi would have helped emerge a strong national leadership.

Her remarks came amid speculation that Bhujbal was unhappy over being passed over for the Rajya Sabha by-election, as the NCP instead fielded Rajendra Jain to fill the vacant seat created by Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar’s resignation.
