The 28th edition of Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) showcased an unprecedented seven Indian films across various competitive and special screening categories. The festival, running in June 2026, highlighted a diverse mix of contemporary, regional, and digitally restored Indian cinema.The seven featured films spanned a wide variety of genres, languages, and eras:
Hunter’s Moon: Competed for the prestigious Golden Goblet Award.

This strong cinematic showcase following a successful six-film run in 2025—was celebrated by Indian Consul General Pratik Mathur as a major milestone in strengthening cultural ties between India and the ASEAN region.
