Ahmed Khan dismisses comparisons amid Welcome To The Jungle and “Tropic Thunder”

Director Ahmed Khan has dismissed comparisons between ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and
‘Tropic Thunder” asserting that his film has its own identity because the script was originally written by the late Neeraj Vora a decade ago.

When asked over the striking similarities such as a bumbling cast dressed in full combat gear stranded in a crisis zone,Ahmed Khan clarified the origins of the film’s concept.

The core script and characters were penned by Vora over a decade ago, preserving his classic comedic flavor.
While the visual set-up of a miscreant cast mistaken for the military may echo Tropic Thunder, Khan notes that the Bollywood adaptation’s treatment, humor, and dialogue (helmed by Farhad Samji) are entirely original and uniquely rooted in the Welcome universe.

Khan views having a decade-old script as the film’s biggest strength, praising its properly structured and deeply patient writing.

Dialogue writer Farhad Samji and the rest of the team worked actively to maintain Neeraj Vora’s creative bloodline and comic timing throughout the project.
