Elon Musk advocates “Starlink” to connect India’s rural communities

Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk has reaffirmed his commitment to launching “Starlink” in India, emphasizing the satellite internet service’s potential to transform connectivity for the nation’s most isolated populations.Musk stated that Starlink is uniquely positioned to bridge the digital divide by targeting “least-served” communities.

These are regions where traditional fiber and cellular infrastructure remain logistically or financially unviable. By deploying a low-Earth orbit satellite constellation, the service aims to deliver high-speed, low-latency internet to remote villages, schools, and health centers lack proper network access.Starlink continues to engage with Indian regulatory authorities to secure the necessary commercial licenses to operate nationwide.
