When Madhur approached Prateik, Madhur narrated to him that his mother late Smita Patil would play such characters. On hearing he couldnt say No to the filmmaker

Moreover, Prateik needs to essay diverse characters to the audience and playing the role as a migrant worker attracted him.

Portraying the migrant’s heart-wrenching journey was a huge responsibility for the actors that had to be done with utmost sincerity and authenticity.

Notably, in ‘India Lockdown’, Madhur has researched on pros and cons of the pandemic induced lockdown through the lens of marginalised sections of society. Babbar plays a migrant worker who, with his family, tries to make his way back to his hometown. India Lockdown is an emotion film that all have shared globally.
