Ajay Devgn gears up to reprise as IRS officer Amay Patnaik in the upcoming crime thriller ‘Raid 2’, set to hit the cinema houses on February 21, 2025. The film will feature Vaani Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, and Rajat Kapoor and is set against the backdrop of Delhi and Lucknow.
Taking to Instagram, the film’s creators shared the exciting news along with a poster, stating, “Bringing back the action, intensity, and suspense your way. #Raid2 releasing on 21st February 2025.”
Following the success of ‘Raid’ in 2018, the team returns with ‘Raid 2’, directed by Rajkumar Gupta. Riteish Deshmukh, acknowledged for his remarkable portrayals of antagonists, will share the screen with Ajay for the first time in a dramatic role, after their previous comedic collaborations.
‘Raid’, released in 2018, featured Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla, and Ileana D’Cruz. The film, based on a real-life 1980s Income Tax raid, saw Ileana portraying Devgn’s wife. ‘Raid 2’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar.
Ajay will be seen in ‘Singham Again’, under Rohit Shetty’s directorial featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff.
