Talat Aziz shares memories with Asha Bhosle nine-days prior to her shift to the next level
Singer Talat Aziz has shared memories about his last conversation with the legendary Asha Bhosle, who passed away on April 12, 2026, at the age of 92.
According to Aziz, this final interaction took place via a WhatsApp video call around April 3, about nine days before her death, while he was leaving for a show in Mauritius.
While Asha Bhosle mentioned her health was “not too good these days” (tabiyat theek nahi hai), she remained positive and energetic, even singing for him during the call.
The duo reminisced about the old days, including conversations about Lata Mangeshkar and their past work together.
Asha Bhosle instructed Talat Aziz to meet her upon his return from Mauritius, but she passed away on April 12 before they could meet.
Talat Aziz noted that regardless being 92, her spirit was young and she was in high spirits.
