Zanai Bhosle, grandaughter of Asha Bhosle shared an emotional “Goodbye my love” tribute to her grandmother, legendary singer Asha Bhosle, following her funeral in Mumbai. Posting on Instagram, she called the 92-year-old icon as the “love of her life,” while fans and celebrities paid respects at the funeral where Asha was cremated with full state honors.
Zanai posted a smiling photo with her grandmother, calling her the “love of her life” and including the song Jaane Tu as a tribute.
Zanai was spotted breaking down at the funeral, attended by celebrities including Aamir Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Sachin Tendulkar.
The last rites for the singer, who passed away at 92, were conducted at Shivaji Park crematorium, Mumbai.
In a separate message, Zanai expressed being overwhelmed by the love and respect shown, stating,
“She lives on in every one of us in our hearts forever”.
Asha Bhosle, known for her incredible contribution to Indian music, died after a period of illness, with her death sparking national mourning.
