Abhishek expresses ‘surreal’ experience being called ‘Shambu Raje

Abhishek Bachchan expressed that being called ‘Shambhu Raje’ at a traffic signal after his film Raja Shivaji was an overwhelming, “surreal” experience that had “never happened” to him before. He described it as a special moment highlighting the audience’s deep emotional connection to the historical character.

A fan stopped him to call him “Shambhu Raje,” the character he plays in the Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi film directorial.

He felt honored and intensely touched, viewing it as a testament to the character’s impact, which increases his responsibility as an actor.
