Unlike the earlier two films, the Hindi version of ‘Drishyam 3’ intentionally diverges from the Mohanlal-led Malayalam original. While both films begin at the exact same juncture, director Abhishek Pathak and producer Kumar Mangat shifted the Hindi adaptation into a high-stakes family thriller, whereas the original leans into an emotional family drama. The Malayalam version featuring legendary actor Mohanlal released in theaters earlier in May. Copying its storyline would have spoiled the major twists and reveals for Hindi-speaking audiences.
While the story will begin exactly where ‘Drishyam 2’ left off, the Hindi film will incorporate alternate twists, new emotional beats, and a different climax. Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, alongside Tabu as IG Meera Deshmukh and Shriya Saran as his wife.Actor Jaideep Ahlawat has been brought in to play a brand new character, adding fresh conflict to the clash between Vijay and the authorities.
The Hindi version wraps up its post-production to hit cinemas worldwide on October 2 and looks to deliver a thrilling and completely unpredictable ride for audiences waiting to see how the saga concludes.
