Meenakshi grew up in a traditional Tamil Brahmin household where she learned classical dance from her family. Even while achieving massive success in the film industry, she retained a deep connection to her cultural heritage and family values a credit she graciously gave to her mother and sister.
Deeply rooted in her cultural values, Meenakshi Seshadri gracefully retired from acting at the peak of her career to raise her family in the United States. There, she founded the Cherish Dance School to nurture the next generation and champion Indian heritage abroad.
