TN CM Vijay leads thousands in Anti-Drug awareness run

C. Joseph Vijay launched the massive “Start Run, Stop Drugs” campaign from Chennai’s Anna Memorial.
Proving his fitness at 53, the Chief Minister completed the high-stamina run alongside student volunteers, ministers, and athletes.
Vijay administered a statewide anti-drug pledge, forcing a focus on collective rehabilitation and proactive community awareness.

Slogan “Sports Edu, Drugs Vidu” (Take up sports, give up drugs) was officially signed into the campaign by the CM.
The unprecedented sight of a sitting Chief Minister physically running a marathon to battle the state’s drug menace has quickly gone viral online.
