Following intense nationwide student protests over the NEET-UG exam paper leak controversy, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has officially resigned from his position on Saturday, July 25, 2026 by submitting his resignation to
Prime Minister Modi on Saturday 25 July.

The resignation comes as a culmination of weeks of aggressive street protests and pressure led by the youth movement at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar demanding accountability for the May 3, 2026 NEET-UG paper leak.
Meanwhile, Media reports describe this as a historic shift, marking a rare moment where public, youth-led pressure forced a sitting union minister to step down under the current administration.
