Prime Minister Modi on Friday shared a new video message on Instagram, saying he had forgiven the students who allegedly abused him amidst a recent protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and urging society to guide them instead of seeking punishment.
Referring to recent remarks directed at him and his late mother during demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, the Prime Minister noted that while public anger is understandable, youth and students should be viewed through a lens of mentorship. According to official statements, he stated that formative years involve mistakes, and young citizens should be given the opportunity to reform, learn, and contribute positively to the nation’s future rather than facing professional or legal setbacks.
