After nearly two years of meticulous filming, acclaimed auteur Sanjay Leela Bhansali has called a wrap on his magnum opus, Love & War. The milestone was celebrated on set with an emotional farewell gathering featuring the director, the entire production unit, and headlining stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal.
According to reports the critically acclaimed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is now set to shift his focus to the post-production of the film. Touted as a grand global cinematic experience, Love & War blends large-scale historical grandeur with intimate, emotionally charged human conflict.
The project marks a historic marquee collaboration, reuniting Ranbir Kapoor with Bhansali for the first time since his 2007 debut Saawariya, pairing Alia Bhatt with the director following their success in Gangubai Kathiawadi, and delivering Vicky Kaushal’s maiden collaboration with the visionary filmmaker.
With production officially concluded, the technical and creative teams have transitioned into an intensive post-production phase. The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on January 21, 2027, amidst the Republic Day long weekend in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
