Speaking at the prestigious centenary celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), the Prime Minister introduced a sharp new cultural metaphor to describe chronic political detractors, likening them to the traditional archetype of the “Naraz Fufa”
(the perpetually disgruntled uncle at family weddings).
In a widely monitored address to students, faculty, and dignitaries, the Prime Minister also revisited his recent “Dimagi Naxal” (intellectual Naxalism) commentary. He contextualized the phrase not as a harsh political attack, but as a precise, non-invasive intervention
comparing its intent to a “homeopathic pill” designed to trigger internal reflection and systemic correction without causing broader collateral damage.
Addressing the gathering, Prime Minister explained that certain segments of the socio-political ecosystem remain permanently disaffected, regardless of governance outcomes or national achievements. By deploying the
“Naraz Fufa” analogy, the he highlighted a mindset that prioritizes habitual grievance over constructive developmental participation.
The Prime Minister noted that
“In our social fabric, we all know the archetype of the “Naraz Fufa”someone who is determined to find fault even in the most celebratory atmosphere,” “Similarly, certain institutional critics remain perpetually cynical of India’s growth trajectory.”
Elaborating on his previous
“Dimagi Naxal” terminology,
PM Modi offered a medical parallel to illustrate his governance philosophy:
The Prime Minister emphasized that his critique acts like homeopathy small, precise doses aimed at curing deep-seated institutional inertia and ideological stagnation rather than disrupting the entire social fabric.
He noted that just as a homeopathic remedy stimulates the body to heal itself, his remarks were intended to prompt an intellectual course-correction among those who counter national progress.
