DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade: ANC seizes Rs 1.36 crore worth drugs in two operations. Worli unit and Azad Maidan Units of the Anti- Narcotics cell of Mumbai Police in two operations seized 3.44 grams of Charas and 335 grams of MD drug worth Rs 1.36 crores.
Anti -Narcotics Cell Worli unit under leadership of Mr. Sandeep Kale and operations led by Mr Deepak Chavan, Sudarshan Chavan, Vivek Khalve, Amol Kolekar, Rajesh Chavan, Ravindra Mathe, Mahesh Gaikwad and Akash Shelar after getting a tip of drug activities , saw two people moving in a suspicious manner at V.N. Purav Marg, Chunnabhatti phatak. On frisking them found that they were in possession of 3.44 kilo grams of Charas. The accused named Neeraj Kumar Chaudhary and Mukesh Kumar Saha are arrested, case has been registered 59/2021 under various sections of the NDPS act .
In another operation the Azad Maidan unit of Anti Narcotics cell on specific information intercepted one Mohammed Asim Nayare Alam and found 253 grams of MD on him. interrogation led to information that he had brought it from one Pradeep Gaikwad. ANC unit laid a trap for him to come and collect payment at Duncan Road Kamathipura. Pradeep Gaikwad’s arrest led them to the master mind of operation a Nigerian National named Emmanuel Tochequo from sector 20, Kharghar- Navi Mumbai.
This operation was led under leadership of Mr Sandeep Kale , executed by Mr Rajendra Dahiphale, Siddharam Mhatre, Sachin Kadam , Abhijit Patil and constables Bankar, Chavan, Bhavsar, Ighe, Bhujbal, Dane and Nimbalkar
case has been registered 72/2021 under various sections of NDPS act and further investigations are on.
