PM Modi visits Russia, Austria July 8-10 for 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit.

PM Modi leaves on an official visit to Russia and Austria on 8-10 July, as per Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday.

This visit is on the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin to hold the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit.

The leaders will review the entire range of multifaceted relations amid the two countries and exchange views on contemporary regional and global issues of mutual interest, the MEA said. This will be PM Modi’s first meeting with Putin after the Russia-Ukraine war began in February 2023.

Thereafter, he will jet-off to Austria on a day’s visit rom (9-10 July). This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in 41 years. He will call on Austria President Alexander Van der Bellen and hold talks with Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer. PM Modi and Chancellor will also address business leaders from India and Austria and will interact with members of the Indian community in Moscow as well as in Vienna.
