ComposerAnirudh Ravichander gets trolled after ‘Devera’ song release

‘Chuttamalle’, the second song from Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Devara’, was launched on August 5. The song, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, was trolled on the Internet.

After Regional Music Composer Anirudh unvield the second single ‘Chuttamalle’, from ‘Devara’, the internet vouched that the song is similar to
Sri Lankan number, ‘Manike Mage Hithe’.

Featuring NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, the second single unvieled by composer Anirudh on August 5, amid much-anticipation, reportedly got trolled’ and many claimed that the melody song reminded them of the viral Sri Lankan song, ‘Manike Mage Hithe’.

While many complimented the composer for churning out a lilting melody, others trolled him
for similarity.

Reportedly, three years ago, Yohani scripted a cover version of “Manike Mage Hithe” and it garnered a healthy reception than the original. Subsequently, T-Series incorporated that cover version into Bollywood, and now T-Series has used the same song as Chuttumalle for the film ‘Devara’

The makers earlier released the first song from the film titled ‘Fear Song’. There was comments about the song over similarities to the famous ‘Badass’ track from Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’. Now, the second song is also facing a similar fate.

Written and directed by Koratala Siva, ‘Devara: Part 1’ is an action drama and releases in two parts, with the first installment releasing on September 27.

The film also features Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain and Kalaiyarasan in supporting roles. Cinematography by Rathnavelu and editing by Sreekar Prasad are part of the technical crew.
