Veteran actor Salman Khan has stormed the internet with the unveiling of the motion poster for his much-anticipated film “Battle of Galwan”.
In the midst of mounting curiosity and speculation surrounding his next project, fans were eventually treated to a striking first peek that offers a visceral and patriotic preview of what ensures to be one of Khan’s most intense roles yet.
The motion poster reveals Salman Khan in a rugged, battle-hardened avatar — his face bloodied, adorned with a proud moustache, and his eyes burning with fierce determination. With no dialogues and just the swelling soundscape of military tension, the visual sets the tone for a film rooted deeply in valour, sacrifice, and national pride.
The official handle for the film shared the motion poster on Instagram, captioning it, “Blood, grit, and patriotism at 15,000 ft. Salman Khan is all set for the most powerful story of modern India. Battle Of Galwan motion poster out now!”
“Battle of Galwan” is inspired by the real-life confrontation that took place in June 2020 in the Galwan Valley, a remote and harshly elevated region of Ladakh. The clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers, fought without a single bullet being fired due to standing agreements, became one of the deadliest border conflicts in the region in over four decades. The Indian Army, despite the odds and altitude, displayed unmatched grit in hand-to-hand combat using rudimentary weapons like sticks and stones.
The film aims to chronicle this rarely portrayed aspect of modern warfare — one where strategy, courage, and sheer willpower superseded ammunition. Set at over 15,000 feet above sea level, the story reflects the indomitable spirit of Indian soldiers and the brutal reality of defending the nation under the harshest conditions.
On the work front, Salman has a stacked slate ahead. Sequels to some of his biggest hits—Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, and Andaz Apna Apna—are also in various stages of development. Rumours also swirl around a reunion with Sanjay Dutt in an actioner titled Ganga Ram, and yet another team-up with filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya for a heartwarming family drama. A patriotic project is also said to be on the horizon.
