The blockbuster
box-office success seems to have impacted director Anurag Basu. It is learnt that he is likely to re-script “Aashiqui 3” featuring Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela despite completion of 40 per cent shoot for the film.

Reportedly with Saiyaara continuing to win the hearts of the audience, attention has shifted to the next chapter. There has been speculations of similarity between the two films, Anurag has now addressed the speculation head-on.

Speaking to the press members, he clarified, that he and Mohit Suri are very close and he feels happy for his film’s success. The only similarity between their films is that the male lead is a rockstar—the stories are otherwise very different.”l w
While dismissing claims of reshoots or rewrites, Anurag explained, in his film, the girl doesn’t have dementia or any other condition. He was aware of the Alzheimer’s angle in Saiyaara, so there’s no reason to repeat it in his story. Nevertheless Anurag reassures fans that Aashiqui 3, featuring Kartik Aaryan, is different.
