In a powerful display of unity, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has
beseeched the film and television fraternity
to extend full moral and financial backing to actor Rajpal Yadav amid his evolving cheque bounce case.
Rajpal Yadav complied
with the surrender order to the Delhi’s Tihar Jail authorities. He had been convicted in a cheque-bounce case by a sessions court in 2019.
Earlier Rajpal Yadav was offered support from actors Sonu Sood and Gurmeet Choudhary days following his surrender to Delhi’s Tihar Jail authorities.
The Delhi High Court declined to grant him any relief in his cheque-bounce cases and he had to surrender on February 6.
Other members of the film fraternity are stepping forward to help Rajpal Yadav to settle his debts.
A statement from FWICE also read, that”those Members and well-wishers willing to offer monetary assistance may contribute directly to Rajpal Yadav or route their support through FWICE. The Federation assures complete transparency, and any funds received will be responsibly consolidated and handed over to assist him in clearing his debts at the earliest.
