Bhushan Kumar opens up on smash-hit”Border 2″

At a media briefing in Mumbai, T-Series producer Bhushan Kumar discussed the significance of transparency in box office reporting for Border 2. He expressed concern over the trend of inflated or manipulated figures in the industry laying emphasis on the authenticity of the collections for Border 2. The film, inspired by The 1971 India-Pakistan War inspired film is produced by
T-Series and JP Films and features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, among others.

Kumar noted that filmmakers share incorrect numbers to boost popularity while announcing box office results thus misleading audiences.
In the midst the success meet of the film, he said that everybody has their own perspective on how they want to announce films and box office numbers, but some things should not happen. He doesn’t want to comment more on this.
Border 2 largely received positive reviews and surpassed ₹300 crore at the Indian box office. The storyline, highlighting the unity of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, resonated with viewers, especially with Sunny Deol’s return in an iconic role.
Bhushan Kumar also shared that Sunny encouraged transparency, urging the team to report only accurate figures even amidst advance bookings and further went on to explain that
before the release of the film, amidst advance booking, Sunny Deol told me they should declare normal numbers because they keep hearing how people are buying tickets and doing other such things to promote their film. But T-Series never even think of indulging in such activities. He answered Sunny Deol that they are going full organic, their advances are organic. And these things always come out. If you do anything fishy, the audience gets to know, so he’s very happy that they have shown real numbers for their film.
