PM Modi assured the Nation, “The countrymen need not worry about LPG. The Modi government has taken concrete steps in time, instructed companies to increase production and ensure supply.
🔥 LPG production increased
🚚 delivery accelerated
Control of 📦 panic booking
The government’s clear goal is: uninterrupted supply of LPG to every household in the country.
Stay away from rumours. The Modi government stands with you, for you every moment….”
In Parliament, Petroleum & Natural Gas Minister @HardeepSPuri assured the House that India’s fuel supplies remain secure despite global disruptions caused by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Tensions have impacted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a route that carries nearly 20% of the world’s LPG and natural gas trade, putting pressure on global energy markets.
India, however, is well prepared:
🔹 Crude supply secure: Imports diversified across 40+ countries to reduce dependence on any single region.
🔹 Refineries running strong: High operating capacity ensuring steady supply of petrol, diesel, kerosene and ATF.
🔹 LPG production increased: Refineries directed to boost LPG output by 28%.
For households:
🏠 Cooking gas supply is being prioritised for domestic consumers.
🚚 Cylinder deliveries remain stable at around 2–3 days.
📦 Measures in place to prevent panic booking, hoarding, and black marketing.
Commercial LPG continues to be available at market rates, while sectors like hospitality have been allowed to use alternative fuels to ease demand pressure.
As Shri Hardeep Puri emphasised in Parliament, India’s diversified energy strategy is ensuring stable LPG supply and price protection for households, even amid global turbulence. 🇮🇳⛽
