The upcoming, massive 40-acre medical facility in Nandoshi, Pune, which was named afte Lata Mangeshkar has been renamed Lata-Asha Mangeshkar Institute of Medical Sciences by the Lata Mangeshkar Medical Foundation to honor both legendary singers, especially following the passing of Asha Bhosle on April 12, 2026. It is described as a state-of-the-art, 1,000-bed, or simply a “major” or “mega” hospital project.
The hospital in. Nandoshi, near Sinhagad Road, Pune, earlier
intended to be named solely after Lata Mangeshkar, the foundation decided to include Asha Bhosle to honor the musical sisters’ shared legacy.
The institution is planned as a sophisticated, modern tertiary care facility and a dedicated medical hub.
