In a major crackdown, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Pimpri-Chinchwad Police dismantled prostitution ring operating from a lodge in Chikhli. The raid at Aditya Lodge on Dehu-Alandi Road led to the rescue of nine women, including a victim trafficked from Bangladesh.
Police have arrested two accused and booked several others linked to the operation. The trafficked victim is currently under protection, with repatriation procedures underway.
A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, and further investigation is ongoing.
