Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar praised the 15-year-old Rajasthan Royals batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi as “truly special” after his explosive, record-breaking knocks in the IPL 2026 season.
Tendulkar highlighted that none should alter the youngster’s natural instincts and gameplay.
He noted that the teenager isn’t just slogging; he is picking up the line and length earlier than most and has phenomenal wrist work. Tendulkar specifically praised
Sooryavanshi’s excellent bat swing and the way he beautifully clears his front foot to create space against leg-side deliveries.
Sooryavanshi had a standout IPL 2026 season, including a breathtaking 97 off just 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator, where he smashed 12 sixes and came close to the fastest century in IPL history.
