Jubilee Gi Asha Parekh and Maverick Feroz Khan

Asha Parekh and Feroz Khan defined the glamour and romance of Hindi cinema. Asha Parekh enchanted the 1960s with her expressive dance, dynamic energy, and roles in classics like
“Teesri Manzil” with Shammi Kapoor and ” Kati Patang” with Rajesh Khanna.

Meanwhile, Feroz Khan carved his own path as one of the industry’s most sophisticated and stylish leading men, bringing a bold vision and magnetic screen presence that paved the way for his future as a celebrated director.

While they did not appear in many films together, their single collaboration remains a fascinating piece of cinematic history. They shared the screen in the 1974 released film “Anjaan Raahen”a drama where their contrasting styles blended perfectly. The story followed a London-returned teacher (Feroz Khan) who takes a job at a local school, bringing a progressive and modern mindset to a conservative environment. When a student becomes pregnant and he is falsely accused, his journey to prove his innocence with the help of his co-teacher (Asha Parekh) drives the emotional narrative.

The film was released on January 1, 1974 and provided fans with a masterclass in acting as Asha’s grounded elegance played off Feroz’s charismatic and modern persona.
