UK based Tafida Raqeeb Foundation appoints Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi as its Ambassador

The Tafida Raqeeb Foundation in UK on 7 January honoured Bolllywood actor Vivek Oberoi and appointed him as the NGos Celebrity Ambassador. This honour comes on the basis of the massive support by the actor towards charities

Vivek makes it known that the NGo Tafida are doing great job through their medical centre for brain affected people. It is a landmark work undertaken by the founder of the NGo, the mother of Tafida brain affected daughter.

Vivek is very much inspired by the work undertaken by Tafida Raqeeb Foundation. He praises and appreciates Tafida’s mother for establishing a medical centre to treat anyone suffering from physical disorders.

Vivek feels that such medical Centers for treating physically disorderly children besides in UK must also be started in India and Ngos must step forward to start such medical centers and save lives of many children.

Tafida’s Mother showers praises on Vivek Oberoi for involving in various charities apart acting in films. She said it was a proud moment to have Vivek Oberoi as the NGo’s Brand Ambassador. Raqeeb Foundation was instituted by Tafida’s mother in the name of her four year old daughter Tafida suffering from Arteriovenous Malformation Abnormal Tangle of Blood Vessels.

Vivek’s selfless work for social causes and upliftment of the downtrodden, has endowed him with immemse satisfaction than winning film awards.

It is common knowledge that Vivek Oberoi has been blessed with a heart of gold, for he has been involved in a lot of charity work where he selflessly devotes his time and energy into helping the needy.

Vivek reportedly has gifted an apartment to an acid attack survivor, Lalita Benbansi, on her wedding.

He had also donated 25 flats to families of slain CRPF jawans in Maharashtra.

They say charity begins at home. For Vivek, it is quite literally that.

His parents, Suresh Oberoi and Yashodhara Oberoi, both have been working towards educating slum children and helping cancer patients for over three decades. His sister Meghna collects funds for donation by auctioning her artwork and after his marriage in 2010, his wife Priyanka Alva also became a part of his philanthropy work.

Vivek Oberoi has been an integral part of many projects:

*Running ONE (the Oberoi Nation Building and Empowerment) Foundation.
*DEVI (the Development and Empowerment of Vrindavan Girls Initiative), which runs schools for underprivileged girls in Vrindavan. In 2011, four children from the Sandipani Muni School, a school started by Oberoi’s foundation in Vrindavan, went on an educational exchange programme to The Discovery Academy in the UK.
Oberoi also started “Set Beautiful Free”, an initiative under ONE to provide shelter and education to children of sex workers from Mumbai’s Kamathipura area.

He has also been associated with Banyan, an organisation that looks into the rehabilitation of homeless women with mental illness.
And these are just to name a few.

The actor, who was last seen in Great Grand Masti in 2016, reportedly, has donated $3 million to date and helped raise $25 million to support numerous charities dealing with civic and social issues.

Vivek may not have received many awards for his movies, but he deserves award for all the goodness he is putting into society. His efforts are above and beyond and truly needs to be appreciated for his good work.
