DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade : Mumbai Police makes arrest in 70 kg MD (Mephedrone) drug originating from Shyamgad Madhya Pradesh
Mumbai Police DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade informed that a wanted criminal Shoaib Ayub Shikrava has been arrested from Shyamgad- Madhya Pradesh by ANC Bandra Unit in 70 kg MD- Mephedrone Drug case of which catch of 5.75 crores worth drug was seized by ANC- Bandra from Goregaon.
After Mumbai Police -Anti Narcotics cell Bandra Unit made the initial catch, Indore crime branch follow up, led to breaking of inter state drug gang and seizure of 70 kgs of MD- Mephedrone. Total of 36 arrests have been made in this case from various States. Shyamgad from Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the hub of MD- Mephedrone drug and heroin distribution. Shoaib Ayub Shikrava and his father Ayub Kallu Shah Shikrava are kingpins in this particular case. Both originate from Shyamgad Madhya Pradesh
Earlier ANC Bandra Unit had registered a Possession Case of M.D.(Mephedrone) and Heroin (Brown Sugar)Drugs

Total Worth Rs – 5,74,65,000 /-

Name of the accused:–
1) Sanjib Nimay Sarkar, age- 39 yrs, Res-Room no-403, A wing, Saphyalya Bldg, Opposite Oshivara bus depot, New link road, Goregaon west,Mumbai.
2) Salim Akabar Khan, Age- 41 yrs, Res- Room no-35, Plot no-15, Gate no-06, Malavani, Malad west, Mumbai.

5. Details :-
On 30/06/2021 team of Anti Narcotics Cell of Bandra unit PI Sanjay Chavhan, API Bandgar, API Bhoye , API Karkar, PSI Pawale, PN Devarde, PN Dhole, PN Mandhare, PC Rathod, PC Indulkar, WPC Jagtap, PND Rane apprehended below mentioned persons from place near to Goregaon Bus Depot, New link road, South lane, Goregaon West, Mumbai .
From Accused No.1. 1 kg 100 gm M.D.(Mephedrone) and 1 kg 80 gm Brown Sugar/Heroin and From Accused No- 2 150 gm M.D. was seized.
An offence has been registered as ANC C.R. No. 55/2021 U/Sec 8 (C) r/w 21 (C), 22 (C), 27 (A), 29 NDPS Act 1985 has been registered against both Accused. Both Accused are arrested in this case.
