Mani’s Lunch Home owners refuses to vacate claims it father’s blood and sweat

There were reports in a section of the media that owners of the 1937 established Mani’s Lunch have been asked to vacate the Hotel by the landlord.

Reacting to the eviction letter sent by the landlord, Rajamani firmly makes it known to the landlord that the Hotel is his father V.S.Mani Iyer’s blood and sweat.

As per the landlord he had suggested the owners to move to leave and licence from pagdi system. But they never agreed so he was left with no option but to send an eviction letter to vacate the Hotel.

Moreover, when his elder brother Narayanaswamy was alive, the landlord who resides in the same building never sent such an eviction letter.
This is nothing but harassment and a way to put pressure on the tenants to vacate the premises.

Meanwhile Subhash Ghatge representing Mani’s Lunch Home terms it’s just an harassment by the landlord since few months by sending eviction letters to the existing owners of Mani’s Lunch Home who have been running the hotel lawfully and with various valid licences from the civic corporation.
