News comes to the fore that SP MP Jaya Bachchan lashed out at Kunal Nayyar for his demeaning dialogue on Madhuri Dixit in The Big Bang Theory.

Following Netflix having received a legal notice from political analyst Mithun Vijay Kumar over one of the episodes of its popular show ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ for demeaning dialogue on Madhuri Dixit, Jaya Bachchan came down heavily on Kunal Nayyar, attributing that he needs to be sent to mental asylum.

In the first episode of
The Big Bang Theory’s second season, Jim Parsons who essays as Sheldon Cooper made a comparison of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Madhuri Dixit. In a scene, he called Aishwarya ‘a poor man’s Madhuri Dixit to which the character Raj Koothrapalli, essayed by Kunal Nayyar, says “Aishwarya Rai is a goddess, by comparison, Madhuri Dixit is a leprous prostitute.”

This didn’t bode well with SP MP Jaya Bachchan fumed is Kunal out of his mind? this man (Kunal Nayyar) insane? He bears a filthy tongue and needs to be moved to a mental asylum. His family should be pulled up as to what they think of his comment.

It is learnt that Political Analyst Mithun Vijay Kumar has slapped Netflix with a legal notice in which he has asked
asked the streamer to remove the first episode of season two where the comparison has been made..Kumar pointed out that the remarks made by the character are not only offensive but also defamatory or to be prepared to face legal action for promotion of discrimination against women.The legal notice has been sent to Netflix’s office in Mumbai.

In a statement, Kumar attributed that it is of prime importance to hold companies like Netflix accountable for their actions and to ensure that they are sensitive to the cultural values and sentiments of the communities they serve.

He was deeply troubled by the use of the very term of derogatory in one of the shows on Netflix – Big Bang Theory. This term was used in reference to the acclaimed actor Madhuri Dixit, It wasn’t only l offensive and hurtful but at the same time it projects a lack of regard for her dignity.
