Akshay Kumar hits the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Earlier it has been on films and actors. This time around, he is caught in a
cob web for a brand he endorses.

The actor who is as of now in the limelight for his latest film, “Mission Raniganj” has been headlining for promoting and endorsing a masala brand.

However, Akshay was one of the actors who adhered to his fans’ request and stepped down from being the ambassador. Now a year later, the superstar has reunited with Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn who have also been endorsing the Pan Masala brand.

The brand recently released a new ad featuring Akshay, SRK, Ajay and Bigg Boss fame Soundarya Sharma.

Post hoc the clip surfaced online, netizens have hit out at the Kesari actor for being a ‘hypocrite.’

The new Pan Masala Ad opens with Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn waiting for Akshay Kumar in a car. No sooner Ajay opens the packet of pan masala, Akshay smells it and comes down to meet them.

But, the clip has already prompted the netizens to express their disappointment on social media and slam the actor as he had apologized for the same a year back. While some fans are slamming the actor, others have commented in his favor.

Earlier, Akshay Kumar had written in his apology letter, that he is sorry and would like to apologise to all his fans and well-wishers. That the reaction over the past few days has deeply affected him. While he has not and will not endorse tobacco, he respects the outpouring of the feelings of his fans and netizens in light of his association with Vimal Elaichi.

With all humility, he steps back. and has decided to contribute the entire endorsement fee towards a worthy cause. Though the brand might continue airing the ads till the legal duration of the contract that is binding upon him, but he ensures to be extremey mindful in making his future choices.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn too had once reacted to the criticism and called it a personal choice. He had said, “When you do something, you also see how harmful it would be. Somethings are harmful, some are not. He would say it without naming it because he doesn’t want to promote it; he was doing elaichi. What he feels is more than advertisements, if certain things are so wrong, then they should not be sold.
