Discontended with the BJP’s first list of candidates for the Rajasthan Assembly elections,loyalists of the Vasundhara Raje camp choose to contest as independent candidates.
Many BJP leaders, close to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, voiced their discontentment following the release of the party’s first for the upcoming state Assembly elections. Some leaders have even opted to contest the election as an independent candidate.
One among them is Anita Singh Gurjar, a BJP leader from the Nagar Assembly constituency. She says that she had dedicated her entire life to this party and feels betrayed. Her people want her to contest, and she will. The party has decided to distance itself from her by not giving her the ticket.
