Over a recent interview, the singer opened up on the giggles and laughter in this song and the lyrics of ‘Hawa Hawa’ penned by Javed Akhtar.

Kavita further elaborated that the gibberish lines in the first part of the song made her mother feel like she had gone ‘mad’.

The singer also recollected the day before recording the song. It was the first naughty song and an item song that she has given voice to. The singer admits that later she emerged an expert with mischievous songs, including ‘Tu cheez badi hai mast’ and ‘Mera piya ghar aaya’.

She even remembers rehearsing the song and reading the lyrics ‘Pak chiki, laki chiki, chiki laki choom’. She was continuously saying, ‘rapchiki laki chiki laki chiki.’

This incident made her mother believe that she has gone mad. Kavita calls it Javed Akhtar’s intellectual mamla.

Kavita further said that Javed used to say, “No one would write such deep words like ping pong, King Kong!”. The music composer told Laxmikant that if there is lassi-pissi in the song, it is fine to make it assi-tussi!.

But finally, Javed decided to end the song with the word ‘Mombasa’, which he got from his dream.

Kavita also further added that Laxmikant-Pyarelal’s song was done by 100 musicians and 40 chorus singers. Pyarelal groomed them well, and others practiced the gibberish lyrics in the music room.

She called it absolutely crazy, explaining that the opening part of the song with a louder pitch used to make the musicians laugh, and Kavita also would giggle.

She then revealed that the rehearsal was stopped more than twice due to the funny lyrics. Pyare then scolded everyone for joking around and be serious saying that they are wasting the producer’s money. Kavita got scared, and she sang it like a serious song even during rehearsals.

She mentioned the lyrics as extraordinary for all these reasons.
