Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani have finally put all speculations to rest with a joint statement by that they have amicably separated.
Their joint statement of separation reads that the couple married for 11 years have mutually and amicably decided to part ways.
Adding that through this shift in their lives, the best interests and welfare of their two children are and will be of utmost importance to them
In the end the couple appreciates that their privacy is respected.
Rumours of the couple not being together started circulating when at Esha’s birthday bash recently, Bharat wasn’t spotted by her side.
Despite having celebrated their wedding anniversary together Esha shared a picture of the two together, this was when cacks started developing in their relationship. Esha and Bharat got married in 2012.
Earlier, Esha had shared that Bharat felt lonely following the birth of their second child. Esha would mostly be consumed throughout the day with their kids. Esha in her parenting book, has mentioned that her husband complained of feeling “neglected cranky and irritated with me. He felt that she wasn’t giving him enough attention.
It’s obvious for a husband to feel this way because, at that time, she was occupied with Radhya’s playschool fiasco and feeding Miraya, and was also amidst writing her book and dealing with her production meetings. So, Bharat felt neglected. And she immediately noticed the error of his ways.
Esha remembered the times when Bharat had asked her for a new toothbrush, and it had slipped her mind, or when his shirts hadn’t been pressed, or when she sent him off to work without bothering to check what he’d been given for lunch.
He’s a man of very few needs, and if she couldn’t look after him, there was something wrong. She quickly made sure to rectify it.
Esha added that, Bharat is different; he tells her directly if he senses a problem. But there may be men who are not so forthcoming. It falls on you to keep the romance alive. Esha figured that she hadn’t gone out for date nights or a movie with him in a while. So she decided to step out of her tracks, loosen her bun, wear a nice dress, and go out with him on the weekends.
For the unversed Esha is the daughter of legendary actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini.
