Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammad Bin Salman bans iftar in mosques ahead of Ramadan 2024:
Ahead of Ramadan 2024,
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs imposes a ban on iftars inside mosques, directing feasts to be held in courtyards to maintain cleanliness on grounds of civic sense.
This year Ramadan tentatively begins on March 11 and concludes by April 9.

had issued a set of instructions for mosque employees to follow amidst the month of Ramadan The Ministry also issued orders restricting imams and muezzins from collecting financial donations for organising iftar feasts.
Further, the Ministry has also discouraged use of cameras inside the mosque premises to record the imam and worshippers offering namaz,
since this undermines worshippers’ reverence.
The Ministry also issued orders that prayers should not be broadcast on media of any kind, including social media.
In addition, instructions were also issued to officials to avoid being absent in the midst of this crucial period and to maintain punctuality.
