Music icon AR Rahman recently released the poster of his documentary “Headhunting to Beatboxing”. Moreover, it was also revealed that the documentary will have its world premiere at the upcoming Indian Film festival of Melbourne (IFFM).

The film revolves around Nagaland and trace the evolution of music across cultures, tribes, and generations. It will take the audiences on an immersive and enlightening musical anthropological odyssey. It will also feature the ancient traditions of headhunting tribes to the musical renaissance in Nagaland.

Speaking on the film’s premiere, AR Rahman affirmed that the film is very special to them, as it showcases the beautiful state of Nagaland and the rich cultural and musical history. Rohit and he are looking forward to the premiere and screeming it to the audiences in Melbourne, Australia.

According to Rohit Gupta,
director of the documentary, they feel honored to have been selected in competition at IFFM. He feels that the narrative holds global relevance along with the incredible healing power of music. The film has been painstakingly made over 5 years and he is excited to see the audience’s reactions to it and for them to explore the rich cultural and musical tapestry of Nagaland. Especially to hear a completely new sound coming from India.”

The much-anticipated documentary premieres between August 15 to August 25.
