Pakistani actor Tauqeer Nasir contended that Shah Rukh Khan “copied” his role in the 2006 hit film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.

The senior actor also went to the extent confusing the Bollywood King Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar of not having given him the due credit.

Speaking to an entertainment channel, Tauqeer Nasir added that even the detail of an injured leg emoted in the film, was lifted from his portrayal in the drama.

Tauqeer Nasir recalled in his interview that Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is based outn on the story of Parwaaz, scripted by the renowned author Mustansar Hussain Tarar. He also shared Shah Rukh Khan would often lauded his work and would send his regards to various people.

But he didn’t shy away from voicing his disappointment over the alleged case of plagiarism. He further revealed that “Shah Rukh Khan is a talented actor, but it’s dismaying to see the lack of recognition for his (Pak actor) contribution from his side.” Tauqeer Nasir also pointed fingers at Karan for not giving due credit to him and Mustansar Hussain Tarar for his inspiration.

Karan Johar’s directorial Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is a romantic drama released in 2006.
