Susan Wojcicki former CEO YouTube passes away after battling cancer
Profoundly, 56 year old Susan Wojcicki, former CEO of YouTube breathed her last after battling with cancer. She was crucial to Google’s founding years, having rented garage space in her parent’s house to co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin to start the company in 1998. She was also the company’s 16th hire.
Her death news news was shared by Wojcicki’s husband Dennis Troper in a Facebook post.
In his post, Dennis Troper, on August 10, wrote that his beloved wife and mother to our five children left the mortal world to the immortal world after 2 years of living with non-small cell lung cancer” Troper said in a post on August 10.
He further added that Susan was not merely a best friend and partner in life, but a brilliant mind, a loving mother, and a dear friend to many. Her impact on their amily and the world was immeasurable. They are heartbroken, but grateful for the time they were privileged to have had been with her. Please keep their family in her thoughts as they navigate this difficult time.
Meanwhile, on 10 August, in a post on X, Alphabet Chief Executive Sundar Pichai also shared his tribute to Wojcicki.
