Recetly actor Sachin Pilgaonkar recalled in an interview that veteran actor Sanjeev Kumar had rented out s flat in Pali Hill Bandra to relish non-veg food since it was taboo in his house. His family members were strict vegetarians. But it was surprising being a Gujarathi he had a liking for non-veg food.

Sanjeev Kumar was acknowledged for his incredible acting skills but off-screen the man loved his food. He had two flats in Pali Hill.. He had given a flat to his Secretary Jamnadas near to his house. Though he had a Mercedes car, never owned a bungalow. He was an exceptionally great actor and was known for his dialogue delivery. He was natural in his acting. Sadly he passed away at an early age.
