Shatrughan Sinha reacts on Mithun Chakraborty’s Dadasaheb Phalke Award
Veteran actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has reacted to the Dadasaheb Phalke Award honour done to Mithun Chakraborty.
Taking to his social media handle, Shatrughan Sinha. Chakraborty congratulated the actor and saying ‘Humse Na Takrana’ and lauded him for his contribution to Hindi Cinema.
In a conversation with a news agency, the actor and politican said, that he felt very good when someone mentioned that Mithun is going to be honoured with the Dada Sahab Phalke Award. Adding that it is neither a coincidence nor an experiment.
In fact, in the right sense, it is a gift from God that Mithun got the Dada Sahab Phalke Award, the biggest award in the film industry.He respects him a lot, as he is very close to him. All his family members, are friends to him and that’s precisely why he can say that he has known him for many years.
Adding that he happens to know him since our days at Pune’s FTII. He was a junior, but wishes to say that regardless being a junior, his first film as he remembers was Mrigya, a film made by Mrinal Sen and he has done an exceptional job in it. Looking at that film, it could have been said that the future of this film is very bright, Mithun will do very well.
Earlier it was the legendry director Satyajit Ray from Bengal. And now it is actor Mithun from Bengal who was honoured with the prestigious award.
Satyajit Ray, was the first personality in entire India who clinched both awards, Bharat Ratna and Oscar award. No one got the Bharat Ratna and Oscar award till date. In this way, Satyajit Ray, was regarded to be the favorite artist of Shoumitra Chatterjee and Shoumitra Chatterjee was honoured with the coveted award of Dadasaheb Phalke before him.
After that, today, Mithun Chakravorty from Bengal has won the coveted award.

Mithun Chakraborty was brought into public glare and he tried to help the BJP. But as it happens in Oscar, the one who does not get the Oscar, people say about him that he should have got it, he should not have got it that means he deserved it more but they believe that the one who got it, he also deserved it. So he will only say this whatever is the reason, that reason is in its place.
