The late Yash Johar founded Dharma Productions in 1976, it has evolved into one of the leading production houses in Bollywood, acknowledged for its diverse range of films with a number of memorable movies.
October 8, 2024 was a witness to an exceptional landmark of 44 years of Dharma Productions.
Karan shared an heartfelt note on social media, expressing his gratitude for the unwavering support from audiences that has helped “keep the magic of movies alive.”
The first film from Dharma Productions’ was ‘Dostans’ in1980, featuring Amitabh Bachchan directed by Raj Khosla. Although it faced ups and downs in its early years, it gained momentum in the late 1990s with Karan’s directorial debut ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.
This film was a game-changer for both Karan and Dharma.
