Meet Vanita Suri, an entrepreneurial force to reckon with.
Mumbai-based Vanita Suri is an inspiration to her community. She is a zealous entrepreneur, passionate philanthropist, and above all, a charismatic persona.
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Vanita floated Bua’s Kitchen and started a tiffin service supplying food to all those who were unable to cook themselves. Her home-cooked meals were delicious, relishing and people from all over Mumbai signed up for her tiffin service. Even after the pandemic has passed, she still wakes up at 4 AM to start cooking, so she can supply her customers with two meals a day. Vanita has always loved cooking and was thrilled to turn her passion into a thriving business. In this regard, she draws inspiration from her mentor, Chef Pawan Mahendro, who turned his passion for Indian food into a successful restaurant called Badmaash in Los Angeles, USA.
Apart from running Bua’s Kitchen, Vanita works as a Sales Manager with Siddharth Banquets, Andheri. She looks upon her boss, Dr. Jayesh Sheth, as her godfather, since he has always been extremely kind and helpful towards her.
A single parent, Vanita has been blessed with two beautiful daughters. Sonam, her elder daughter, works at Bua’s Kitchen along with her, cooking non-vegetarian food for the dinner service. Sanna, her younger daughter, is a celebrity influencer, and also her biggest source of support—both financially and emotionally. Vanita is also helping raise her grandson, Ahaan Suri, a bright young kiddo. Her family members Anu, Smriti, Aditi, Bipin, Sucheta, and Sunil, are her biggest cheerleaders.
Through her work, Bua’s Kitchen has made a significant contribution to humanity. Vanita has been active as a social worker, having organized a number of food drives and social activities. Being a compassionate woman herself, she has generously contributed a lot to the lives of several people. Almost all of her initiatives for social causes are self-funded. She and her team work relentlessly towards a better and brighter future for young India.
