SRK and Farah Khan’s “Main Hoon Naa”celebrates 22 years

22 years of that story in ‘Main Hoon Naa where Shah Rukh taught us that “hatred should be done thoughtfully, because life is too short to hate.”

Even as “Main Hoon Na” celebrates 22 years, it’s learned that director
Farah Khan secured the iconic
St. Paul’s School in Darjeeling which doubled as the fictional Bharat Vidya Mandir for free.

Farah Khan wanted a realistic, upmarket Indian campus rather than an artificial set and spotted St. Paul’s while watching Raj Kapoor’s Mera Naam Joker.
She spoke to the school’s “Father” The only requirement was that the crew shoot amidst the winter break in December, when students were away on holiday. In the midst of the freezing December, the crew, including 100 dancers, stayed in the school dormitories and utilized the campus church for daily prayer.
The film crew actually installed a hot water heater in the dormitory, which the school students had never had before..

The film, released in 2004, marked Farah Khan’s directorial debut and was the first production of Red Chillies Entertainment.
