Amidst his visit to the Larsen & Toubro Armed Systems Complex in Hazira, Surat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inspected a wide array of cutting-edge, indigenously developed defence equipment.
PM Modi was briefed on this 25-tonne, air-transportable combat vehicle. Jointly developed by DRDO and L&T Defence, the tank is designed for rapid deployment in high-altitude and mountainous regions.
He reviewed a robust lineup of cutting-edge technologies, including the Unmanned Medium Calibre Turret System, the Tejastra Directed Energy Weapon (DEW), the AATV Sindhu, and an indigenous Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) PM Modi commended the critical role played by the facility in furthering self-reliance in domestic defence manufacturing.
This visit by the Prime Minister was part of a larger Gujarat tour where he launched a series of infrastructural projects worth over ₹18,800 crore.
