Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and
TVK chief Vijay used his Assembly address to firmly reiterate the state’s commitment to the two-language policy and reject the Centre’s three-language formula. He also took direct aim at critics who call his administration an “actor’s party,” delivering a fiery, blockbuster-style response about his political longevity.
Vijay declared that only Tamil and English will be taught. He and his government firmly opposed the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, stating that tying vital educational funds to the implementation of a three-language formula is completely unacceptable.
Addressing Opposition skeptics, the actor-turned-politician brushed aside the narrative that he jumped straight from film sets to governance, reminding them of the mandate his party secured in the recent elections.
Vijay denounced NEET for creating systemic inequality, doubling down on the government’s demand to base medical admissions solely on Class 12 results.
